Ultra Update!

Hello friends! (and people who have stumbled their way here)
I am so sorry for the lack of updates and content and whatever else you guys come here for, so let's cover the bases! I have not drawn or made anything in a year. Period. Reason: Ever since I moved to Japan, it's been a little nonstop. My first job had the weirdest hours so getting home at 11 every night was not doing me any favors. Plus the matter of that I did not have a working laptop also prevented me from making digital content and posting anything of quality. That said, I now have a proper laptop and a job with much better hours (and 20x less stress). With my new desk I recently purchased, I should be able to start creating again.
As for the content itself, I am still working on my [closer] project. It's still very much in its beginning phases but I hope to be able to start getting the ball rolling. When I have some down time at the office I'll be able to start plotting the plot and such and hopefully I'll have time at home as well, which does bring me to something else...I'm getting married next year! The date is finally set and with that comes the whole process of planning that overseas. Woot. So between that and working overtime occasionally and also FFXIV and other awesome video games, it's been a little hard getting back on the creative track. The past year has been a lot of crazy and nothing normal so getting back into finding time for me has been extremely hard, so I hope I'm able to do some of that in the coming years. For those of you who have stuck with me, thank you so much and for those of you who actually read all this, super thank you for being an amazing human. If there is anything you would like to see more of, whether it be specific characters or OCs or colored drawing or sketches, please let me know, I'd love to hear what you guys want (and it'll give me some inspiration!) So here's looking to the future! Thank you and I'm so sorry, I'll do my best to keep things rolling! So...about the stuff from last time...

Ok, so as of today, I have 9 days left in the United States. I have not put out any content in that time. Between work and preparing for my move to Japan, I have had no time for art and that is very upsetting to me. I hope that once I'm settled in in a few weeks I can get back to making content, but with my current...technological situation, I'm unsure if I will be able to do any digital work. I will almost certainly continue to post content on my art blog (akirasakamuraart.tumblr.com) but outside that, I can't say for sure. I'm very sorry to the few of you that follow my page and the even fewer that possibly even read these posts, but I will definitely up the content soon enough. Heck, at 23 years old and finally living on my own, I better damn well be doing what makes me happy!
Keep being awesome my friends and may I make an update soon
Side note: my fiance and I were thinking of starting a web comic about our lives in Japan (probably won't start until 6 months or so from now). Thoughts?
P.S. Also noticing that I was a whiny bitch in high school/early college. Glad that's over!

Hello dedicated followers and friends!
I would first like to apologize outright for the lack of continuous content. I am wrapping up my college education and will be graduating in 2 weeks. Huzzah!! So, hopefully in the few months before my official move to Japan, I can really crank out the art and projects I've been working on for the past few years. That means that my original project, [closer], will finally get out of the concept stages and take off. Hopefully I can really buckle down and turn it into a manga and put out a potential anime opening (I first would have to polish my animation skills). My fandom projects, including Evangeline, Kat and the ROTG, and my Pokemon fic, might get some love coming up too. I also have two older ideas, The Power of Kara and Angel016 Ai, that I might slowly work on as well. Beyond that, there might be some random work I just feel like creating. I hope in the next few months I can polish up on my digital art skills so I can really bring good content to all you wonderful people. Art is very important to me as I know it is for all of you. I just want to express myself in ways that I can't in words. I hope that you all are having a lovely holiday season and if you're looking for more content by me or plenty of randomness, head over to my Tumblr page akirasakamuraart.tumblr.com or my main page akirasakamura.tumblr.com. Oh look, I did an art.

Haha, I make too many promises to myself. I planned on cranking out some art and stories over the summer but then work and class happened. Now I'm back in college so I have time! How? My weekends freed up. Why? My boyfriend is in Japan. So expect AT LEAST one submission a month, more if I really can. It took me about 20 hours to do the two pieces I just submitted and the drawings weren't even that well colored. I have a lot to learn with Photoshop....
Anywho, I might just do some line art stuff ^^ Projects on the table: ROTG story, something postapocalyptic, maybe a Pokemon fanfic, I'm redrawing a children's book I wrote in high school, I have a story about The Hunchback of Notre Dame going, and maybe some other things, i haven't decided on everything yet. I really just want to keep busy to this year passes by really quickly...best wishes and good luck to everyone in their endeavors

You guys are the best. Seriously.
I joined this community hoping that at least someone would come across my work and perhaps appreciate it. I would have never thought that in one day I would get so many views and favorites and comments and just overall support from everyone. You all make me proud to call myself an artist. It's because of everyone here that I continue to make art. Yes, I no longer am pursuing a major in art BUT I do plan on making art all throughout my life. I hope to improve every day so that I can continue to help others pursue their talents as they have helped me. So thank you, everyone, every single one of you. I give you all the hugs!!!
